This deli meat was born in the Parma area! Strolghino is a small salami which is best enjoyed when still tender, cut into round, thick slices. The paste of all-Italian pork meat stuffed into a thin casing matures quickly and is characterized by a mild and delicate taste.

There are many stories about it. We like to think that its name derives from “strolga”, which means witch or soothsayer: this salami was used to gauge how the aging process was proceeding in cellars where fine salamis, culatellos and large salamis were placed to mature.
