1963

THE ORIGINS

Four friends and colleagues united by their passion for meat processing establish “La Felinese”, a small artisanal workshop for the production of salame and pancetta.

1970s

THE FIRST STEPS

With the inclusion of Prosciutto di Parma the range of products begins to be characterized by its extensive variety . Over time, this characteristic would become more and more the distinctive element of the Felinese production within the Italian industrial sector.

1980s

FROM ARTISANS TO INDUSTRIALISTS

With the construction of a new plant in Felino, production takes on an industrial scale, expanding to include other products such as Cooked Ham and Mortadella, thus completing its range of Italian deli meats.

1990s

GROWTH

The market grows in both the Large Retail and the traditional retail sector and the first steps into export markets are taken. At the end of the 1990s a new plant is opened (the fourth one) for the production of dry-cured hams.

2000s

THE PRE-SLICED INTUITION

The company, now with a full range of whole deli meats, decides to invest in technology for producing pre-sliced meat in a protective atmosphere. In just ten years, this segment becomes the first product category by turnover, leading to the construction of a new plant (the fifth one) entirely dedicated to the packaging of pre-sliced products, thus rounding off the production chain.

2010s

EXPORT

This growth, driven by the pre-sliced products, takes place in the domestic market, particularly in the Large Retail sector, but above all in international markets. The company is among the first in Italy to invest in HPP (High Pressure Processing) technology to support the development of exports to the North American market.

2020s

INTERNATIONALIZATION AND INNOVATION

The company's development strategy continues to focus on international markets but also on the development of the Felinese brand both in Italy and in Europe through numerous innovation projects whose primary aim is always the craftsmanship and quality of our origins.
